Early Years Learning Framework

The Kilparrin Early Learning Centre (KELC) implements The Early Years Learning Framework for Australia.

The Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) for Australia BELONGING, BEING & BECOMING forms the foundation for ensuring that children in the Kilparrin Early Intervention programs and in the Kilparrin Early Learning Centre experience quality teaching and learning. It has a specific emphasis on play-based learning and recognises the importance of communication (including early literacy and numeracy) and social and emotional development.

The EYLF describes the principles, practice and outcomes essential to support and enhance young children's learning from birth to five years of age, as well as their transition to school.

The Kilparrin Early Childhood Centre Teachers and staff are responsive to all children’s strengths, abilities and interests. They value and build on children’s strengths, skills and knowledge to ensure their motivation and engagement in their learning.
